iPhone 3G Digitizer & Glass Screen: This is an OEM rated part and contains both the digitizer and front glass combination. This part is packaged with all the tools required to perform the replacement. This includes a philips screwdriver and suction cup to remove the touch screen glass. This part also comes packaged with the adhesive to mount the glass/digitizer to the midframe. This part does NOT include the LCD, so if the iPhone has a cracked or broken LCD you'll need to replace this part also.

Installation Overview: The iPhone 3G glass touch screen assembly is made up of 3 primary layers. Starting at the top you have glass and digitizer (part #3G-1000) which is mounted onto a midframe (part #3Gs-0989) using an adhesive. On the bottom side of the mid-frame you have the LCD (part #3G-1001) which is mounted using a metal bracket that is held in place by screws. During the removal of the cracked glass we recommend the use of the hair dryer to heat up and soften the old adhesive. Extreme care needs to be take to ensure the midframe does not break when removing the old glass. Review our parts installation page for our replacement video and repair tips.
