iPhone 3G LCD Screen: This is an OEM rated part and contains the internal LCD display. This part is packaged with all the tools required to perform the replacement. This includes a philips screwdriver and suction cup to remove the touch screen glass. This part does NOT include the iPhone glass/digitizer.

Installation Overview: The iPhone 3G glass touch screen assembly is made up of 3 primary layers. Starting at the top you have glass and digitizer (part #3G-1000) which is mounted onto a midframe (part #3Gs-0989) using an adhesive. On the bottom side of the mid-frame you have the LCD (part #3G-1001) which is mounted using a metal bracket that is held in place by screws. Replacement of the LCD requires you lift the glass off the iPhone then remove the LCD which is held in place my multiple screw points on the midframe.
